Falconer has a range of powers that are, or have the potential to be, very invasive to other player characters. As such, I have compiled a form to be filled out for any opting out/permissions. I will not tag your character until permissions have been filled out.

He will only use it for conversation, if ever. Those with mental barriers would be able to resist. <b>May Falconer use illusionary magic on your character?</b> This would be making your character see things that aren't truly there. Those with mental barriers would be able to resist. <b>May Falconer cause your character to fall asleep?</b> I honestly have no idea how he does it, but it's probably to the same effect as taking a sleeping potion minus the potion. I have no idea if those with mental barriers could resist it. Up to you. <b>May Falconer use mind control on your character?</b> All instances will be discussed beforehand. Events that this covers could include persuasion to kill someone else and can only be used if Falconer knows the character's <b>birth name</b>. Again, this will be discussed. Characters with mental barriers would be able to resist. <b>May Falconer control your character's body?</b> All instances will be discussed beforehand. Events that this covers could include death, torture, and moving your character like a puppet. Death and full control can only be used if Falconer knows the character's birth name, however he'd be capable of torture given any name the character identifies with. Again, this will be discussed beforehand.

Secondly, assuming he felt it happening he will likely be able to break Falconer's control eventually. This is highly triggery to the character and should be handled with caution on an ooc level.

So I'm assuming birth name includes full name? I ask mostly because Shirley doesn't really have a last name, but she does have a second symbolic "true name" occasionally used in the same place as one. Her true name isn't exactly a secret, but it rarely comes up without others of her race around so in the case that the really big stuff comes up whether her true name is needed could affect whether the mind/body control could work.

It doesn't need to be a full name, actually! He can work with the first or last name, so long as it's true, the effect is just a bit weaker meaning it'd be easier to break free from. But if he doesn't know that either part of that true name, the most harm he can do is probably making her fall asleep. Let me know if you have any other questions!

You're playing a villain so I don't have to do this song and dance but I will give you the standard warning anyway: Varric has a lot of connections and I would not suggest fucking with him or his close CR unless you're willing to accept the IC fallout that would probably last for months to come.
